AUREA#6 Participation Agreement

Indemnity Clause

Neither AUREA, the event venue, the event organiser, or any of their respective parents, affiliates, sponsors, shareholders, employees, agents, officers, directors, successors, or assignees will be liable for any injury or illness, however caused, arising from, or in any way relate to COVID-19 in connection with the event.

You assume any and all risk, whatsoever, related to any AUREA or AUREA-related event, and release and discharge AUREA, their sponsors, and their agents from any liability to the fullest extent allowed by the law.

Physical Presence

In order to participate in AUREA, the physical presence of at least one (1) representative of your company or nominated project are required at the venue on 17 - 19 January 2024. Virtual participation is not permitted.

Compensation

Besides being eligible for a €500.00 travel stipend per pitching team (limited to two individuals per team), I understand that the AUREA organisers are under no obligation to compensate me for my participation in the event in any way.

Speaker Profiles

All participants must provide user profile information, including full name, contact details and avatar, with the understanding that my information might be populated for me (based on publicly available information) if not provided in time for the schedule.

Speaker name, avatar, country of origin, and bio content will be published publicly along with Twitter, Facebook  and other social media handles, if provided.
Email, phone number and demographic information not mentioned above will not be shared publicly.

Session Preparation

If I fail to confirm my participation or find later that I am unable to devote the time and energy to this effort, I will notify the AUREA organisation team immediately. AUREA organisers  reserve the right to replace my session at any time, for any reason.

To aid in schedule planning, I will also communicate any of the following situations with the AUREA Organisation Team, in a timely manner:

  • Schedule conflicts

  • Session format

  • Technical requirements/requests

  • Changes to the speaker lineup

Obtaining Consent

I understand that I am responsible for obtaining any required consents, permissions, and clearances to display or otherwise use any materials (both visual and audio) that I incorporate in my session.

Staying on Topic and on time

I understand that staying focused on the pitch competition’s topic during my  session is extremely important and I will face penalties if I were to run overtime or come unprepared.

Code of Conduct

I understand that my slides and on-stage remarks must abide by the AUREA Code of Conduct, which will be adhered to during this conference.

I understand that my slides may be reviewed ahead of time, and that I may need to modify my presentation if it does not adhere with the Code of Conduct below:

AUREA is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone,  regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the NTR.Land conference at the discretion of the conference organisers. 

I also understand that if, while I am presenting, I fail to abide by the spirit of the Code of Conduct, my pitch might not be published.

Session Recording

I understand that my session will be recorded and made publicly available following the conference unless otherwise agreed to with the event organisers, in advance.
