Finalist FAQs

  • AUREA is a global competition to identify excellence in augmented, virtual or mixed reality. We seek to not only identify the best products and services, but demonstrate the potential of this sector for technology and entertainment as a whole.

  • The objective of the pitch is to demonstrate to the jury that your product, service or experience successfully contributes to a higher standard in immersive entertainment. It is not an investment pitch, but rather an opportunity to prove that your project has the potential to change the way audiences engage with this exciting new frontier of technology.

  • The pitch is category-agnostic. However, our diverse jury acknowledges the diverse set of viewpoints that contribute to excellence in the industry, be it innovation, creativity, experience, impact or interaction. For example, are you engaging in a fresh narrative? Is your product or service a feat in operational complexity? Is your service enabling creators to reach a global audience?

  • You need to budget 10 minutes for your pitch:

    ● Pitch: 4 minutes

    ● Moderator: 1 minute to prepare for Q&A

    ● Jury Q&A: 5 minutes

    ● Question from the audience

  • Feel free to include any visual guide for your presentation. It can be a video, recording, app, or good old fashioned slideshow. If you have hardware that you would like the judges to experience, feel free to bring a sample or two to the event. There is no limit on the length of the pre-recorded video, but we recommend you leave enough time to tell the jury about your product, service or experience in person - they’re there to hear it from you!

The AUREA Community team will contact you in advance to submit your presentation to the audio visual team before the pitch.

  • Remember, this is a pitch to your peers - experts in the field. They are not only looking to understand the project, but to make an informed judgement about its relative level of innovation, excellence in craft, and potential to advance the industry.
